maternity leave/ short term disability?

Hi everyone, I'm 27 weeks with twins and a preschool teacher. I spend all day on my feet, bending over and sitting on little chairs, I get out of breath so fast and bc of the bending or extra weight, I feel pain in my lower back and knees, I feel like I can't take work anymore. Has anyone been put out of work this early? Or what was the earliest you were put out?

The only tricky thing is that you're only entitled to job security for 12 weeks total in a 12 month period including your maternity leave. After that you will need to cobra your health insurance until you can go back to work.  If they like you a lot they may work with you and agree to rehire you,  but they are not required to and they may go ahead and hire a replacement after the 12 weeks. So it really depends on your situation, if you can afford to pay for your insurance out of pocket, if your employer will voluntarily keep you beyond the 12 weeks leave, if you'll be okay not getting paid for awhile and possibly needing to find a new job later on etc.

I had to go out of work due to the severe torn ligament. I was in retail. I was around 26 weeks. When you can't work, you can't work. I say take your leave now. It can be damaging later on

I got put out at 28 weeks and 3 days!  There is no exact time it's when your Dr suggests.
