My PCOS/clomid success story :-)

In fall 2012 DH and I decided we were ready to start a family. I finished my birth control early Nov 2012 and had normal withdrawal bleeding and then AF didn't show. HPTs all came up BFN. So off to my family doc I go after missing 2 periods thinking she'll tell me to just give it some more time. But that's not what happened. She said maybe it's PCOS? My sister has PCOS so I'm not sure if that's why she investigated so soon. So then it's off to the lab for blood work and a pelvic ultrasound and back to the doc for results. Yes you have PCOS. *devastated* We'll start metformin and that might regulate yor cycle allowing you to get pregnant. 6 months of metformin and AF only when I take Provera. Back to the doc for a referral to gyn. I got a gyn appointment quite quickly but was dismayed that he wanted to do more tests! Just prescribe the clomid please! More blood work for me, a HSG, and SA for DH! More waiting. In Oct we find out everything else looks good and clomid is prescribed. But clomid is timed with your cycle and I don't have a cycle! We try Prometrium to get withdrawal bleeding - it fails. We double the dose and it fails again. Solution? 2 months of OCP and start clomid on the second withdrawal bleed - more waiting!!! Finally start round one of clomid in March 2014. Stared charting bbt and got discouraged when by day 17 I hadn't had a positive opk or a temp increase. This is never going to work! Temp increased day 21 when I was going in to measure progesterone. Ovulation confirmed! Now the 2ww. AF shows up one day before I expected and we start again. Ovulation is even later - day 23 maybe? On to the 2ww again. bbt stays elevated and AF is late. Took 2 pregnancy tests this am - this can't have actually worked!!!
So many things to look forward to!
