4 days late

My period is going on 4 days late. I took a test today on a dollar store cheapie. I seen a very faint line but it was in the wrong spot. It was close to the control line. But I definitely seen it there. But there was not a line where the line should be. I have had sore nipples, dull lower back aches weird cramps I had alot of creamy discharge but now it's like thick clear discharge . I have been off my birth control patch for 4 months. My period has been on a regular basis since stopping. I even spotted for like 2 days 2 weeks ago . Wth is going on ? It's driving me nuts.
