Denial?

Question

Does anyone else feel like baby isn't real until its born? I feel her I acknowledge she's there ...but I just feel like she's not real. Fyi Im 8 months she's progressing and healthy  had one early miscarriage awhile back

I didn't have a miscarriage but I didn't feel connected to him till he was born. It just seemed like it was too good to be true sometimes and I just couldn't imagine it very well. Even when I was in labor I was worried and unsure of myself. Once he was finally born I felt an instant bond and I feel like its growing stronger all the time

I'm 10 days from due and still not accepting that the baby will be here. Hubby is super excited and impatient and I'm sitting here going 'nope nope nope'

My due date is tomorrow and he doesn't feel real to me. I'm so anxious to meet him, I feel him, I know he's in there. But it's so surreal. It's not weird. It doesn't make you a bad person. Different people need to have something physically and visibly there for it to feel real. You're not alone hunny.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. Dont get me wrong, i absolutely LOVE my baby. I feel him move. Hes healthy. I am incredibly excited to meet him. It just seems SO UNREAL! Every day I ask my boyfriend "so like... theres really a baby inside me like were really having a baby?!!?" And he just says yes honey hahaha. Yes, I KNOW THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A BABY IN THERE. For some reason it just doesnt feel real... like i am really creating my own little human. Its just too amazing. It probably wont hit me until his on my cheast for the first time. I cant wait for that moment.

I feel the same way! I'm 7 months and it still doesn't feel real to me lol like you said, my husband and I talk about him a lot but it feels surreal

Me. I'm only 17+1 so obviously it wouldn't feel real to me but I feel the real connection is after birth or when the baby has strong kicks (mines just feels like a fish rn). To make it real for me I'm going to have a 3D scan done further along so I can see what I have created
