When to move baby to crib?

At what age are you moving your baby into his/her crib in their own room? Any suggestions on how to make the transition easier? Anyone have a good/bad experience?

We moved our baby to his own room and crib at 2 months, I know it's early but he's such a loud sleeper no one was getting any sleep. He took to it really well, I think it was harder on us to be honest.

We just started he's 3 months now. He tosses and turns a little bit but sleeps fine. It was harder for us to not have him right there. I find I check on him all the time lol

With my first son i feel like i waited too long to do everything and had a difficult transition every time (moved him to his room around 8-9 months). This time at 2 months i started transitioning her to daytime sleep on flat sleeping surfaces (bassinet, pack n play... She had been exclusively sleeping in her Rock n play, my arms, or bed sharing before that)... I just moved her to her crib in her room at 3 months and overall she seems to sleep lighter, but wake to nurse less. Some nights she does amazing and full on sleeps almost the entire night through, other nights she wakes every 2-3 hours....

I will be moving mine at after 5 months. I'm getting my baby monitor then & that's what the guidelines say (6m). Also I think baby will grow out of his bassinet by then. Not looking forward to that at all!

We moved our girl at about 3 1/2 months. I wasn't exactly ready but she outgrew her bassinet by weight and size. The transition has been hard for us, honestly. :( she hasn't really slept great since the move... but she's also rolling now and we had to stop swaddling all at the same time. I think the crib is too much room for her.

My girl was in a moses basket in the bedroom but she was a really noisy sleeper and I'm a really light sleeper so at 5 weeks she moved into her own room still in the moses basket but sat in her cot (room isn't big enough for cot and basket stand). At 11 weeks she went into the cot as she outgrew the basket and actually sleeps better as she has her arms outstretched and she now wears a sleeping bag to keep her cosy. I felt sad putting her in the cot and had heard about babies not liking all the space but it seems to suit her. Just give it a go and see what happens.

She just moved herself to her crib lol. We put her down one night to look at her mobile and she put herself to sleep. Ever since she's slept in her crib. 3 and a half months old
