pregnancy after miscarriage?

Hey ladies,

So I unfortunately had a miscarriage this past week. I've been taking pills the doctor gave me and all that good stuff. This was the first time I've been pregnant. I know everyone is different but just wanted some insight. How long after the miscarriage were you able to try again? How long did it take you to become pregnant? I'm just happy we know we are able to get pregnant because for awhile we weren't sure. At this point I'm just praying for a healthy pregnancy next time around. I was just curious about timing and of course we don't want to rush anything. Thanks! :)

Got pregnant first cycle after which was 8 weeks after. I'm 21 weeks now. Good luck!

I lost my first at 4 weeks. Everything passed naturally and I ovulated on time the next month and got preg again! I am now almost 22 weeks and everything has been smooth sailing ☺️

I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks. It took 6 weeks to get my period and I got pregnant again 2 weeks after that!!!! I was amazed since it had taken 9 months to get pregnant the first time!

I'm officially 15 weeks today, after a D/c Oct 11.... so it was one cycle, just under 5 weeks after .

I'm so sorry for your loss. My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, too. I passed everything naturally and waited one cycle, per the advice of my doctor, before trying again. Then it took two cycles before I was pregnant again. After my miscarriage I ovulated earlier in my cycles (cycle day 8), so be aware that your cycle length may change. I'm 27 weeks now and this pregnancy is going along smoothly! Honestly, if you feel physically and emotionally ready to try again, I say go for it. Wishing you luck!

With my baby I had last March, I got pregnant with her quickly (like within a month) of my miscarriage.

I'm sorry for your loss, miscarriage is just awful physically and emotionally.  I miscarried my first pregnancy in late June, we waited one cycle as suggested by the Dr.  Fell pregnant the next cycle and am now 31.5 weeks.
That first period was awful, I cried so much as it was this cruel reminder of our loss.  Be kind to yourself!  Part of me wanted to get pregnant quickly again to lessen the loss but I'm glad I had the month to grieve.  As stupid as it sounds, I felt guilty for being happy to be pregnant and 'forgetting' my first baby.  I had counselling which really helped me acknowledge my first baby but still be excited for my boy I'm carrying.  It's not easy.  I also went to Chinese Medicine as I felt my body needed to heal and get balanced (hormones).  Focussing on my health (good diet, exercise) really helped me get some control over an uncontrollable event.
My advise is to do what feels right for you and allow yourself to be emotional when you need to.  I hope that when you are ready, your rainbow baby comes along quickly :-)
