ovulation test?

Very new to ttc. I've been seeing some of you ladies posting about doing the tests.. dumb question but should I test at the beginning of my ovulation or between ?? And another question is it comes back positive does that mean I'm more likely to conceive? Just a little confused with it!! Comments much appreciated ☺️☺️

Ovulation tests help you to detect your lh surge (which happens 12-36 hours prior to ovulation). There is always some in your system so you will see a second line pretty much every time you test. It's positive when the test line is as dark or darker than the control line and this means you will be ovulating soon and are at your peak fertility. When to start depends on how long your cycle usually is but my first month I started at cycle day 10 and tested every afternoon until the line started to get darker. Then I tested twice a day midmorning and evening to make sure I didn't miss the peak. You can stop testing once you get a positive. And should have sex that day and the two days after for highest chance of pregnancy.
