Iron tablet and puking

Has anyone had this. I have the one where you have to take it with food but no diary products. I had it last night accidentally on an empty stomach and projectile vomited all night. With no sleep coz I felt like I was going to puke 24/7. Rang the hospital and they said it sounds like it's from that but it could be a 24 hour bug. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had this? I'm 30 weeks pregnant.
