Chili cheese dog

I normally don't give in to my cravings but I am craving a chili cheese dog and tots from sonic. I've been reading on several websites and some say I can eat it and others say I can't. Is it safe for me to eat a chili dog? Have any of you gotten sick from eating it? Please let me know. I pack some baked chicken and sautéed veggies but I can't stand the thought of eating it. It's lunch time and I have to eat something.
