Help! Miscarriage or Not?

Hey everyone! We think i am about 5 weeks. I had my first dr appt today after finding out a week ago i was pregnant by a home pregnancy test. The doctor scared me by saying there is no fluid around the baby & it could be a miscarriage that has not passed yet. She wants to hear a heart beat by next week... (possibly week 6). I dont know what to think. I have no bleeding or symptoms of a miscarriage . But i do have cramping? Anyone have any opinions on this?

If there's no fluid, it may be what he says. And unfortunately, you don't have to have miscarriage symptoms to be miscarrying. I lost a baby at 11 weeks with no symptoms or bleeding or cramping. He simply died 2 weeks prior and my body never picked up on it. Had to have surgery. I hope this isn't the same for you, but I'm very sorry if it is.

Well your thyroid is no where close to your uterus, it's in your neck so I think you are good there..
