how to prepare for 12 week scan?

Hi everyone, next week I will have my first scan at 12 weeks. I haven't been told anything about it other than from family and friends who are telling me to drink lots of water before the scan. Is this right? Is there anything else I should do/not do?

My Dr. only told me to drink a lot of water because I had to go with a full bladder, that's the only thing ^^ Also you should wear comfy clothes :)

If you have ask for certain tests then make sure your bladder is full.. They know when you lie 😂

I'm from the UK so I have my 12 weeks scan booked for the end of this month, the Dr told me to drink plenty of water/squash before the scan so I have a full bladder and to wear loose clothing as I'll have to have my blood pressure and bloods taken. Hope that helps 😊

Yes plenty of water but don't over do it because before you even get to the office your be running to the bathroom
