anybody else planning to breastfeed and having people act like you won't be able to?
I am definitely going to try my absolute hardest to breastfeed, it is important to me so I'm not going to just give up over some discomfort or anything. Obviously if it just doesn't work out it doesn't. But everytime I say something about it, people are like "well, you can try", "you have PCOS though, women with PCOS aren't able to", "it's not worth the work. Just bottle feed, nobody cares". And I'm sick of it! That's not supportive AT ALL and definitely not necessary. If someone said they were going to try to get into a prestigious college you wouldn't say "it's not worth the work, just go to a community college or local university" or "well, you can try". You'd be supportive and encouraging, even if you didn't think they'd be able to get in! Jeez, if you can't be supportive of me just don't say anything at all, before you make me feel like I won't be able to and start doubting myself 😕
