bartholin cyst treated with tea tree oil?

Hi, just wondering if anyone out there has had a bartholin cyst and treated it at home with tea tree oil and witch hazel? I've had 2 in the last 2 months, not huge but painful! Both times I did warm compresses and after a week they went away. Well now I'm feeling the tingly sensation when I wipe in the same spot with a bit of swelling and I read that tea tree oil and witch hazel is good to use at the on set, I just don't know how to do it? Do I mix the 2 and put it on there? Do I let it set on there with a Cotten ball? I'm lost and want this evil thing to go away! Thank you!
