does monistat 7 really get rid of a yeast infection?

My period is 4 days late with negative tests and we have been Ttc.  a couple days ago I noticed my cm had some little chunks in it and now there's even more. I did one of those tests and it came back positive for yeast. I've never used Monistat before and was just wondering if it really works and gets rid of it? There's no itching, or discomfort, just the discharge.
