gestational diabetes questions

1- My doctor has already told she isn't letting me go past 39 weeks. She has already given me two dates of which I could be induced. At 29 weeks, baby was already 2lbs and 15oz, so basically 3lbs. They said if he gets too big, they may induce earlier. I've had decent blood pressure the whole pregnancy. Nothing over 130/90, in fact it's been low. Anybody had GD and been induced earlier due to weight concern or otherwise? And did you have vaginal or c section?

2- I'm having a hard time getting my caloric intake up, without having higher carb foods. Any suggestions? I'm afraid to be losing weight at this point.
