My boyfriend has been struggling with finding a job my entire pregnancy. He just got this really amazing job and his start date for work is about 7 days before my due date. Now, I'm really excited about this job cause it's such a great opportunity for him and our family but it means he may not be able to make the birth or he might be able to see the birth and have to go to work so I'll be alone in the hospital. I do not blame him whatsoever and I completely understand and know it might be really hard for him to not be able to be there with his new baby. I'm just a little frazzled seeing as we're only 3 weeks from my due date now and all the plans could be changing completely. Has anyone else's SO had to work for part/all of the birth? And how did you handle it? My parents will come and see us for a bit but not the whole time and I don't want him to feel bad which I know he probably already does so how do I handle this whole situation? I'm a planner and my plan for how this is all gonna happen has already gone out the window 😂
