Birth control

okay so I've been on the nexaplon implant for over a year now.. & I have not had my period at all over that year bc it's one of the side effects. But just recently I got some spotting & idk maybe I could be getting my period again? Or? Idk I'm confused if anyone knows anything pls help to calm my nerves :))))
