Do you think you'll worry more if you have a daughter than a son?

I think I would. Life's hard for everyone, but there are just so many landmines waiting for girls... Especially when I think about some of the stuff my friends and me all went through. It's easy to laugh it off as an adult, but when I think of my daughter going through it, it sends a chill through me.

I am pregnant with a little girl there are times that I worry but I pray I have been praying for my daughter even before God sent her to my womb.

I used to think I'd worry more about a girl, but we have 3 boys and are finally having a girl, and I don't think that's the case anymore. I worry what kind of men they'll be and the influences over teenage boys to do stupid things and be risky and "manly". I don't want that for them at all. Just being a mom makes you worry no matter what I think. We do our best.

I will soon have my first daughter and the only thing I worry about is treating her differently because she is a girl. My in laws always treated my sister in law like a fragile piece of glass compared to my SO I do not want to raise my daughter to think she is any different than her brothers. She will not get special treatment because she is a girl and will learn to work on cars, mow the lawn, and all the other things my in laws consider boy chores along with her brothers. Because she is not going to grow up thinking she is weak and fragile.

I have one of each and honestly worried for my son he is emotional loves dance and many so called "girly" things. Hes gotten teased already by family for liking dance and wanting a baby doll. 
My daughter is tough and stubborn. I think she will do fine.

Well I don't have a daughter ...and am due with a boy april(my first). I think for either one I'd worry..I just want to be a good parent.

I.have a 17 year old daughter, 14 year old son. I'm more worried about my son, boys tend to want to show off, race cars do dumb stuff. Don't get me wrong he's very respectful but I'm more worried about him. My 17 year old is very cautious because we have prepared well. She is very out spoken when it comes to her views. Well I guess raising kids in general is scarey lol

Yes, I think I will. Boys have plenty of pressures in life, too, and frankly I will worry regardless. But I think of my own life and I can remember each of my struggles I had simply because I was a girl and I cringe thinking about my kid going through those. I feel them because I experienced them. I never experienced it from the male side so I can't feel it at vividly as from the female perspective.

Regardless, the tenets of my parenting plan will remain the same. Encourage communication, strength, independence, confidence and compassion in either sex. With those traits, I feel like the rest will fall into place.
