So one of my friends told me my car seat and base isn't safe at all we tired everything to make it snug in the car with and without the base. With the base it doesn't move side to side but if we get into a head on collision the seat is going to lift in the back and push his face right into the back of the seat and I have a 2007 dodge van. Without the base the buckles have this button on them that prevents them from tightening the seat enough my husband things I'm crazy and won't but a new seat until we get it check buy a professional saying its not safe an he feels bad if we don't use it because it was a gift!....
