can i be out at 4 weeks pp?

So im hispanic, my mother said i cant be outside until 6 weeks pp because ill get air in my body. My SO wants to go to the movies this weekend & really wants me to go but i dont want to because im breastfeeding. His mother loves to babysit she agreed to watch the baby but im undecided. What do you ladies think?

I have never heard of this before. I'm 3 weeks PP and have been out and about with the baby since 1 week.

That's what they say , it's an old myth lol but I went out the house to my daughter  doctors appointment when she was 2 days old, again at 2 weeks . So with that said you should go catch a movie 😊 have fun !

My husband is salvidorian n his mother said the same thing to me n that I'll stay fat. I went out a 5days, 1weeks, n traveled back home to jersey for 2weeks n when my baby girl turned 3weeks. So far with the weight part I've lost 32lbs n I tell her every chance I get lol
