My SO got injured at work a month ago and his employer has restricted him to one specific clinic. The clinic he was forced to go to did no diagnostic testing and basically gave him no treatment even though he went back to them 3 times in 6 days in pain. I rushed him to the ER the next day and he had to have emergency surgery. The surgeon who performed the procedure wanted him to come for a follow up visit a week after which his employer denied and still makes him go to the same clinic who has done nothing for him. They just keep saying it should be healed in a week every time he goes. He has had an open wound since February 21st. I am worried about lasting internal effects and I am so frustrated because he won't stand up for his own health. He is afraid his employer will retaliate if he seeks counsel. (Which I told him is illegal)

Am I too worked up over it or am I right? I am mostly upset with the clinic for their incompetence and medical neglect.

Any advice?
