Sign of labor?

Last night I started having Braxton Hicks that were fairly close together. They aren't consistent yet, but they are getting more frequent then they have been before. I've had a dull back ache for the past several hours, and on and off since 8pm yesterday. Does this mean I might be close to labor? I haven't been checked yet for effacement or dilation, so I have no idea if that is anywhere close to being ready for delivery. First baby, and want to know if I should be timing the contractions? I'm just so lost!

It wouldn't hurt to time them. Try getting in a warm bath and see if they speed up or slow down. If they slow down, it is not real labor most likely. Also, you won't have a doubt in your mind when you actually hit active labor 😳 I couldn't walk or talk during the contraction but was fine in between. I had intense Braxton hicks for weeks before going into labor. Some of them were super regular and sent me to labor and delivery only to be sent home. Stay hydrated, take a bath, and try to relax. You are getting so close! You will meet your sweet baby soon! 💕

Maybe you can go see your doctor once so they can check to see how you are progressing..anyway you are closer to having your baby so timing your contractions should not be a bad idea. Good luck girl💜
