Cruise while pregnant?

My mother and sister are going on a cruise next month. I'll be 14 weeks pregnant when they leave. Have any of you ladies vacationed while pregnant? I want to know if it was enjoyable or if you were miserable from the heat and maybe even the boat if you went on a cruise. I've never been on a cruise and it seems like an amazing vacation but I don't want to spend the money if I'm going to feel sick and it's not safe for the baby. Thank you for any advice!

You can definitely travel at that stage, unless your doctor has told you otherwise. It sounds like you are going to places that have a Zika risk, which I think is really not worth it. I understand that it would be hard to turn down if you don't get as many travel opportunities as you would like, but really, just ask yourself, "is my boyfriend's first vacation worth the chance of my baby having the complications related to the Zika virus?" I'm sure it will be an easy question for you to answer. And maybe you can plan a different trip, too!

It's safe, depending on where the cruise is going.  You can always talk to your dr beforehand to be safe. I went on a lot of vacations while pregnant and I was never miserable!

I went to NYC and South Korea whilst pregnant with my first child. I was in the middle of bad morning sickness but I'm still glad, just had to take it easy especially with the heat. Like someone else said - better to be miserable somewhere nice than just cooped up at home anyway! I was so determined to make the most of my holiday I think my mind was taken slightly off the sickness.

It depends on if your morning sickness has been bad. I loved the cruise I took, didn't get sick at all. My mom, however, was in our cabin 75% of the time with sea/motion sickness from the boat rocking.

I would say that plus morning sickness would be miserable in itself.
