I met my husband 4 months after my ex and I broke up. But really only maybe 2 months after him and I were done done. My husband was my rebound. Best rebound ever.

I was 17 and turned 18 with my ex not very long of a relationship, we broke up Tuesday and I met my current boyfriend on Saturday of that week.. which was not expected.. just kinda happened. My ex wasn't "serious" at all. So I met my current bf at 18 he was 20 1 week before turning 21. We are now about to be 27 and 30 still together. So I cannot answer.

Depending how serious things are. Some people take longer than others.
