I love these photos! We did a gender reveal, but it was like a BBQ with our family and friends over! It wasn't a big party, and didn't cost us a lot. I plan on having a shower but the gender reveal was really fun! We didn't get gifts or anything like that, just family and friends hanging out drinking some and eating!

Gender reveal parties are great, and so are photos. Just depends what you want to do. I love watching videos of gender reveal parties.  I had a small one, just my parents and brother, and then my in-laws via skype. I didn't put it on social media. I never even announced my pregnancy to social media though. Well, I guess I announced it when my baby was born. Lol.

Since I am pregnant with number two and don't expect a baby shower (not that I expected one with the first) we are doing a gender reveal party! I like the idea of celebrating every child we have and this gives me a way to do that without having other people feel obligated to do something for us.
