My Labor and Delivery

Woke up with contractions at midnight(shortly after I went to bed😬) I waited until 5am and had my mom drive me to the hospital(which is an hour and a half away while my husband stayed home at first with our (almost) 2 year old until she woke up. I got to the hospital and was only a one! I was like how in the world have I been having steady contractions, 4-5 min apart for so long now and I'm only a 1 and cervix still thick? Anyways they kept me in triage for 2 hours and I progressed to a 3 so they admitted me and I stayed a 3 until 3:30pm. They had me on Pitocin and thankfully I got the epidural early so it wasn't bad. At 4 :15 they check me again because baby girls heart rate keeps dropping and I'm getting physically sick and can't stop shaking all over. Surprise, I was an 8.5 and she told me to push(I was on my hands and knees at this point because I was so sick and my back was cramping from laying down so long. As soon as I push the one time she says wow you're already a 10! My OB was yelling to get the table ready and to get everything ready because I was about to have the baby now and couldn't believe I progressed so fast after not doing anything for so long. Anyways baby girl Nova Anne was born 7.6 and perfect! I didn't even tear and am so happy! And now I'm ready to get some sleep! Good luck all you Moms!
