my boyfriend isn't ready for marriage?

I'm in complete love with my boyfriend, and I know he loves me too. But, every time we talk about having our baby, which we have been planning on having for 8 months & nothing seems to work. I also speak to him about marriage... and he doesn't seem too excited about that. He says he isn't ready for marriage, but how isn't he ready for marriage but he's ready to have a baby? I don't want him to follow into his fathers footsteps.. he had him with his mom but never married her before he died. I don't know what to think & it has me kind of depressed. Does that mean he isn't sure if he's going to spend the rest of his life with me?

Theres no way he's ready for a baby but not marriage.. a baby is a much bigger and lifelong responsibility. If I were you, I'd stop trying for a baby unti hes ready to put a ring on it.

He doesn't have to marry you to be with you forever. But then again just because he has a baby with you doesn't mean he's going to be with you forever either. Don't pressure him on marrying you. But if you want marriage and he honestly doesn't then he's not for you. Either accept it or not.

If he doesn't like the idea of marriage then I don't see this as a problem. If he wants to be married one day then I'd want to wait until married to have a baby and talk to him about why he isn't ready

Why would you even talk about a baby. You've been together for 8 months? That's early. Maybe you shouldn't talk about it until he's ready for a marriage

If he's not ready to commit to you for life, I would wait to bring a child into the world. I would ask yourself if you'd be prepared to be a single mom because that's a possibility. Marriage isn't a guarantee either (just look at the divorce rates). So you just need to take time and see what feels right to you and him.

What's with all these couples planing babies before marriage? Like if you want to have a baby so much then why not just get married first? A baby is a much bigger commitment than marriage.
