Ladies I am on estrogen patches for ivf

My period was supposed to start today so this morning when I woke up, since I am not spotting yet, I decided to do something crazy and do a pregnancy test. It is positive. I am not getting excited yet. I was told I have a low possibility of pregnancy naturally AND if I do get pregnant it could be ectopic, that's why I decided to do ivf. I am supposed to het my period today and start my stimulation injections tomorrow. My question is, do u think estrogen can make me have a false positive on a pregnancy test. I used first response and the line came up immediately
