Who usually apologizes first?

Me. I've got a background in conflict resolution. I recognize that apologizing is very often a meaningful first step in resolving a conflict. Even if I wasn't the one who f'd up, I can apologize for something related...like, sorry I didn't communicate that well, or sorry I wasn't being sensitive to you having a bad day, etc. It gets the ball rolling in the right direction.

I usually apologize when I know I'm wrong. I'm not stubborn about it. I'm willing to recognize when I'm wrong. He is usually a little bit more stubborn about admitting his wrongness, therefore it always takes him longer to apologize.

I usually do, but I can't hold a grudge against him if you paid me. I'm a total marshmallow.  He apologizes usually without words and in a physical way , he'll run me a bath or buy me a gift.  This used to really bother me bc i wanted the words , but I've learned to love him for him . That's the way he apologizes so I know at least he's sorry and thought about our argument.  Half the time we both get so ridiculous one or the other or both starts laughing bc we end up saying silly shit and making funny hand gestures!

Whoever was snippy. That's usually what we have to apologize for. Being cranky and short with the other. We have a pretty respectful relationship and it has yet to really go beyond that.
