I was only trying to help

so yesterday i was talking to an aunt we both breastfeed our babies her son is 5 months old mine is 2months old she mentioned to me that she is struggling with her supply and is supplementing he son with formula. ive been breastfeeding my son and i also pump my baby prefers to drink it fresh lol so i have about 120 ozs frozen ....well i told my aunt if she wanted it id hate it to go bad unfortunately she didn't like the idea and well i think she got offended i did apologized to her...my boyfriend made me feel bad about it by saying why would i say that to her and that i needed to think before speaking.... I still feel bad ...I was only trying to help ...

was i wrong in telling her that ?
