What is your opinion on the use of medical marijuana to treat an existing medical condition, while pregnant?

Marijuana doesn't harm you and isn't addictive. As long as you're not smoking it, you're not harming your baby. Edibles and oils are just as effective in treating illnesses.

Cannabis is a medicine. All medicines have risks from small to large depending on the medicine. If you're treating a condition with it and not just using it recreationally then there is a need for it in moderation. If you were on a prescription drug for the same condition would people make you feel as weird about it? I doubt it. I've seen moms who wouldn't survive pregnancy without it.

People talk about how weed is and for babies and bring up all ththe she questionable websites as sources but from personal experience from women I know who have gotten high while pregnant their children have no health issues and also I've talked to doctors about it before and many of the women I know who smoked it while pregnant were given the okay by their doctor so 🤷‍♀️ though smoke could be bad for the baby so perhaps edibles or vaporizing it would be better.

If you want to smoke it my answer is absolutely 100% NO.
As for edibles, wax, and oils...the positives and negatives need to be assessed with your doctor.
ALL medications will have risks and benefits, even Tylenol.

As a BME I study medical devices and medicines. My whole purpose is to create things that help people. I agree with Cannabis being used for medical purposes. HOWEVER I also think like any drug it must be studied further! Studies on pregnant women need to be done to make sure that THC does not negatively effect the child in the womb.

Cannabis doesn't always have to be smoked so I think it's a lot safer than most man made medicines
