Do you think using 28 pads for a 6 day period normal?

I feel like I use too many pads these days, I use to be heavy for only the first two days, but now it's constantly heavy till the last day. I even have to get up in the middle of the night to change them -.- 
I go through two packs of 14 pads, when I only use to go through one pack.. do you think that's normal that I go through 28 pads for 6 days?

If it's a change from your previous pattern it might be worth talking to your doctor at your next checkup. Periods do change through your life so it just might be related to that though.

Btw: it's expense and waste like that which caused me to switch to a menstrual cup. Best period decision ever!

I have a roughly 4 day period and I use 22-24 pads within those 4 days

Definitely normal. That's less than 5 pads in a day.
If you start soaking a nighttime pad from end to end and rim to rim in less than 1 hour, that's when there's a problem. Other than that, you're within normal range and, unfortunately, just have a heavy period.
There are some options to help lighten your period. You can consider changing your diet and looking for certain foods that seem to make your period heavier and less pleasant (some have found chocolate to be a major culprit). Look around on the internet to see what others have found. Another option is to manage your stress level. Consider taking yoga or beginning meditation every day. It's no secret that chronic stress can absolutely wreck havoc on our reproductive systems. You can also look into hormonal birth control which can help lighten your period.
Another option is to start wearing cloth pads or a menstrual cup. This will lessen the amount of waste you're creating with your periods and in the end will be more cost effective so you don't have to break the bank with your heavy flow.

I have a 3 day period and usually use 6-9... I don't have a very heavy flow though.
