Are you giving your 6 month old water?

I was told by many to start introducing water by 6 months old. Did you start giving your six month old water ? If yes, how many ounces per day and what is best kind or brand of water to use for baby? I'm thinking of Poland spring.

Nope. Just breast milk and we've recently started solids.

No none. Just breastmilk at the moment as that has all she needs. I've just started to let her try vegetables this week but not purees I'm doing baby led weaning

I've recently started offering some in a sippy, which he's not too great with, so he doesn't get much. I'm not sure if I should be  giving it to him in a bottle like his formula.

We do baby lead weaning so she gets water in a sippy cup. She loves it and it really helps her.

I've been giving my daughter water since she was 3 mnths old.. started with boiled cooled water and only a couple sips through the bottle... now at six months she drinks normal water from the tap in her water bottle... she has water after each meal. She has never been sick. Do wat you think will be best, ur gut instict is the best indicator.

Yes but just tap water3-4 oz. most goes on floor. Don't need special water they eat everything they see now. Any bit of dirt anywhere they will soon be grabbing

Just started weaning him and offering him water in a baby cup, as it's better for them than a sippy cup.
I only give him a max 2oz per day

I give 2 oz of water with fluoride in it. I take yhe easy way and get it already mixed together. Its brand is nursery water. You find it on any baby aile: Wal-Mart, pick n save, target, etc or you can buy the fluoride drops and add it to water (daughter is 6 months)

Yes I am and he drink 2oz to 4oz a day. At first he didn't like it but I started to let him play with it and get accustomed to it and now he loves it. I started giving it to him once I started giving him solids at 5 months. And I give him poling springs or any of the really good purified waters
