blocked tear duct??

Question

So I believe my daughter has a blocked tear duct in her eye. Just her right eye. Her eye has been slightly watery at times and pretty goopy- White to yellow discharge. It's only her one eye and it's not red or anything. Doesn't seem to bother her. I have read breastmilk helps but how do I get it in there? 😕How long do I let it go before seeing the dr?? Thanks!

My sons dr told me to just gently wipe my son's eye if he gets a blocked duct. Starting at their nose and wiping across the inside corner of their eye and that usually does the trick. He's only ever had it happen once since the dr told me that :)

I say just put some drops of BM on your finger and gently rub her eye. Also massage the area where her tear duct is. My daughter also had a clogged duct early on. The Pedi said it was normal. She also gave us an antibiotic ointment. My daughter had greenish mucus. The antibiotic ointment and massaging the area where her tear duct is cleared it right up. But your BM might do the trick!

My son has it too, he is four months. The dr has not been concerned at all. I do warm compresses and massages. I will express breastmilk on my finger and just place it in the corner of his eye. Some days it looks better than others. Like another commenter said, freaked me out the first time he woke up with his eye stuck shut. I know it also pisses him off!

My daughter had a clogged tear duct and breast milk was what helped it! I would wash my hands, pump, and just put a few drops in her eye with my finger. I also used a medicine dropper once I was able to get one. Also the doctor showed me how to massage to help as well.

My daughter has a clogged tear duct and her doctors said it's fine and would clear up on its on by a year. Just to wash it with a warm cloth , massage it and that's it. It did scare the heck out of me when I picked her up in the middle of the night and her eye was closed shut by the goop stuff.
