first round of clomid but now I found out I need to wait a month!!

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 years exactly and now we are starting clomid this month. Well come to find out my mom (who lives 10 hours away) is graduating from college and taking her test to get certified to be a teacher the beginning of December. And IF I get pregnant on this first round my due date would be December 19th. And obviously I really want my mom there with me during my first delivery. Do you think I should go ahead and try this round or wait until next round. Or... not even take the clomid at all?
