When to put baby in crib?

I have 5wk 5day old daughter & wanting to know when I should start putting her in her crib to sleep?

Answer

I learned in a safety class that babies who sleep within 3-5 feet of parents have a lower risk of sids(and there are many other things that lower the risk too). So we have our 4wo sleeping in a "rock n play" next to the bed until at least 6 months. I might start putting her in the crib for naps before trying at night to ease her in. Well have to feel it out though and see what works for her.

Answer

My baby has been her crib since she came home at 25 hours old. It is on the other side of our room, but it is her bed for nighttime and naps.
