I Know people are going to tell you to leave, it's not that simple. My suggestion would be to look into public services for mother's and children. Housing for abused mothers, counseling for the feelings invoked by his mistreatment, a protective order so the kids don't suffer when you do decide to leave.  It's a hard choice to make. Do what is best for you  AND your children.
