Essential oils?

Question

Has anyone ever used essential oils for natural remedies? I've had a unbearable headache for 4 days. Just won't ease off. I've taken Tylenol and does nothing so I just don't take it. Just purchased lavender, eucalyptus and frankencinse essential oils. I really hope it helps!!! I am 7 weeks 3 days btw..

Those are all safe oils during pregnancy. Just use topically (if from a trusted brand like Young Living or DoTerra) or diffuse. I wouldn't recommend injesting.

Peppermint and lavender are great mixed for nausea and headaches. Peppermint has been my go-to for a lot of stuff. Drop 3-4 of each in a diffuser, or if the oils are from a trusted brand, mix a couple drops of peppermint with a carrier oil (not water!) and rub on pressure points. Wrists, behind your neck, behind your ear, bottom of your feet...

I was told to stay away from oils while pregnant.  I would check with your doctor first before using any of them just to be safe.

I had the worst headache at work today. I'm a teacher. I can't just leave and take a break. It's awful. I took two extra strength Tylenol. Nothing. I drank tons of water. Then, one of the kids got me two ice packs from the school nurse. I put one on my forehead and one on the back of my neck. We turned off half the lights. Finally got some relief. Maybe ice and make things darker? If it's really bad, your OB can prescribe stronger stuff or do injections. Happened to my coworker.

Lavander is the only oil I can stomach. I turn on the diffuser right before I go to sleep, and I keep it on my nightstand. I use lavander scented candles in the house to take a way any smells that make me nauseous. I have 3 dogs and they make the house stinky!!

I tried ice yesterday too...didn't really help. This morning I have my heating pad on the back of my head and neck...it's helping a little. But I don't know if the pain will come back after I'm done with the heating pad.

There's pressure points at the bottom of your head where you neck and skull meet, massage those. My masseuse told me that can help with headaches, but I haven't tried it yet. If you YouTube it you should be able to find it

My headaches have been out of control, especially yesterday. I used peppermint oil on my temples and the back of my neck. It didn't help me but it might help you.
