natural infant medicine?

what do you guys suggest for medicine for baby's? i think my daughters getting a cold and i don't know if it's from her shots or if she caught it from my boyfriends nephew. id prefer it to be natural

My kids doc literally recommend nothing except humidifier, saline, sucking out mucus.. etc. even tho there are meds for over a certain age, they said they still contain certain things not great for babies. Them being sick is absolutely the worst because there isn't much you can do for them. Just try and keep baby comfortable.  Even after 2 years they still don't recommend anything other than honey for a cough. (At least our doc didn't, I'm sure other docs have other recommendations)

There is nothing you can truly give them unless it is a safe, natural remedy. Do not give any cold meds! Saline spray up the nose to loosen mucus and use suction (I highly recommend a Nose Frieda over a bulb, you can get them at Target or Amazon) to remove it if she gets too bad, before feeding, and before sleeping. Use a humidifier. Use BABY Vicks rub, as the adult version is too strong for their little airways and can cause problems. I use Little Noses saline and they also make a medicated decongestant, but for babies do NOT use the decongestant unless prescribed by the doctor. My 4 month old was hospitalized with RSV at 6/7 weeks old and even in the hospital they only do decongestant (because he couldn't breathe and his oxygen was low) and suction. At 4 months he is back in the hospital right now with three separate cold viruses and it is still mostly just suction.

Saline in the nose, and suck out any mucus. Steam up the bathroom, and sit with baby. Baby vics rub on chest and feet. Humidifier to help keep everything moist. You can't give babies cough/cold medicine.
