MY JAW OMG

I noticed today, horrible pain when I ate. And it's not in my mouth? It's my jaw. Like it hurts to open my mouth. And I don't think it's locked because my mom had a locked jaw and could not open it at all. It only hurts when I'm eating and open my mouth to take a bite. Do I need to see a doctor or just wait it out?? It hurts like a muscle cramp. I'm 20, and no I haven't sucked dick recently. It would be less concerning if that were the case, just a sore jaw. But I don't know what I did to cause this and I can barely even eat without pain.
