confused on timing

Hi ladies, I'm 19 years old and a college student by boyfriend and I of two years are not at all trying to get pregnant right now or any time soon. I am on Lo Loestrin Fe for about 3 months  after I had problems with my previous pill for 5 months. I rarely get my period even on my two placebo pills so I'd have no way of knowing if I'm for sure not pregnant. However my question is when is it safe for him to come in me assuming that my birth control is effective because I take it every day at the same time. All I've heard is not anywhere near the days I'm most fertile or near ovulation. But I don't know when that is.
