Short baby?

My little guy just turned 11 months and I'm worried about his height. (Not his weight lol)

We just tried to measure him ourselves and got 27inches which is like below the 5th percentile.

Should I be worried?🙈

At my sons 9 month check up he was 28 inches, same as he was at his 6 month check up and now at almost 11 months I don't think he's grown much and if he has it isn't much at all. We knew our kids wouldn't be very tall, I'm only 5' and my husband is only maybe 5'9. My daughter shot up quick but now when I see her with other kids her age she's so short compared to them.

My oldest was below percentiles chart from birth (5lbs 6oz) to three years old (29lbs still below weight) but he got really tall in the past year. He went from a 2t top and bottom to a 4t bottom 4-5t tops. As long as they are steadily growing on their own growth curve then i wouldnt worry too much

My 11 month (nearly) old was 5th percentile for weight, off the chart for head size, and smack bang in the mid range for height. A veritable dwarf lol. The ranges they give are guidelines. Unless baby is seriously off the chart then don't panic. If you're really concerned then go see your child health nurse to get checked.
