Im supposed to 6.5 weeks, but according to my LMP, 8 weeks. Just went to the doctor monday and my Ultrasound had growth in gestational sac and there is a yolk sac present but no fetal pole. I have to go back tonight, two days later, to see if the fetal pole has arrived, if not she is calling this a failed pregnancy. Do you think I should get a second opinion?

Btw, tested my levels and hcg is rising and high and progesterone levels are great.

So I just got back from the doc. ..all went well! Between Monday's ultrasound and today, she did see growth in the yolk sac.   Monday's  ultrasound it looked a little  fuzzy with jagged edges and now its a perfect circle!   She was happy with the positive changes so quickly.  They took more blood work to make sure my levels are staying the same or better.  I go back next week Thursday for another scan.  Please continue to pray.

Yes. Get a second opinion I hear so many woman go through this and it turns out they ovulated much later and it ended up a healthy peegnancy.  But even if it doesn't you owe it to yourself to at least try everything to make sure. Good luck girl I had that last December. It was hard but I tried again and I'm almost 17w now so there is hope!!

Just got by bloodwork back. ..Hcg was at 71676 now it is 66194 :(....does this mean miscarriage?

I would wait it out. I had an early ultrasound due to bleeding at what I thought was 6.5 weeks. They said I looked 4-5 weeks and there was a sac but no fetal pole. I had another scan two weeks later and was 8.5 weeks and everything looked great. Apparently the rate of development and growth really varies in the early stages. Are you in the US or UK? In in the UK and they seem a bit more chilled out about early ultrasounds. They generally don't do them unless there are potential problems due to the differences in development and with mine they didn't panic- just said 'we'll see how it looks in a few weeks'. Definitely wait it out- especially as your HCG levels look good. Good luck xx
