Did I ovulate?

Yesterday I had some on and off cramping which is normal for me around ovulation time. I hadn't had any EWCM yet just creamy so I didn't think ovulation was near yet. Last night the cramps were a little more sharp than before. We weren't able to BD yet as my husband was gone in a business trip (he gets back today). This morning I woke up and when I wiped I had a big chunk of brownish EWCM  (TMI I know). When I put it between my fingers it seems more rubbery (if that makes sense) or dry than normal. This morning my right ovary is sore and a little crampy again. So I'm wondering if I ovulated even though I didn't have the EWCM. Im afraid we missed our chance this month since we weren't able to BD :(
