Is it okay to buy a used crib?

Husband and I have found many cribs that are used and in good condition but have gotten mixed reviews. We plan on refinishing the crib and making it new. Buying our own mattress for it. Opinions?

Mine is used, my aunt used it for a foster daughter she had for a little while! The baby got taken back to her parents after a week though so it's only lightly used 😂

I am using a used crib, I cleaned it up, repainted it and made sure there were no recalls or safety implications with it. I also got a new mattress. I say for 25 dollars it's been great!

Definitely!! I would personally never buy a used mattress though but looks like you're buying your own so I say go for it!!

Well, we used our crib for two kids and even transitioned to toddler bed, so I'd say yes.  If it is good quality it should hold up.

I did! I didn't have the space to refinish it so I left it as is. I wiped it down really well with Clorox bleach and bought a brand new mattress and bed set

Make sure it's not the drop rail kind as they are illegal to sell everywhere even second hand at a garage sale.

We bought our crib used. I'm glad. Because it was a $400 crib and we got it for $150. It's literally in perfect condition. Why spend a ton of money on something like that if you don't have too.

Of course it's okay as long as you inspect it make sure no bugs. Cribs are expensive nothing wrong with getting a used one
