when should I book early scan??

I want to book an early scan. I'm only 3 weeks 5 days atm (really early) when would be a reasonable time to have an early scan? With my last pregnancy it was at 8 weeks. Is 6 weeks too early? Would I be better waiting till 7 or 8? X

I just had mine at 7 weeks and we were able to see the heartbeat with an abdominal scan.

I had one at 5 weeks as an emergency as is ha a miscarriage the month before so we needed to make sure it was as new pregnancy. Couldn't see anything but a tiny tiny dot. Then I had to wait until 12 weeks for another. If you can wait until 8 weeks then do!

They don't like to do at 6 weeks, because sometimes even at 6 weeks they can't hear the heartbeat and it'll worry you, so they like to do it around 8 weeks or so.

8 weeks. That gives you some leeway for dates being off.
