Have you had the NST while pregnant ? ( a.k.a non stress test) Is this test done for every pregnant woman?? Or is it only for pregnant women that have a problem,diagnosed with something or high risk pregnancies??

I know it is to check on the baby and contractions but is it for serious complications ? I never heard of this test before and I'm a FTM just wondering because I'm concerned

I started having them at 35-36 weeks because my blood pressure and protein in urine.

I'm actually at my NST appointment right now lol
I come twice a week, I was supposed to start at 28 weeks but didn't start until 32. I have gestational diabetes so that's why I come and also because of previous miscarriages.

I'm doing them once a week bc of gestational diabetes starting at 35-36 weeks.

I was involved in a minor car accident and they had me come in to do one. Mine only took about a half hour- pretty easy.

I had one at 41 weeks to check that my fluid was ok, placenta was still functioning properly, and that baby was doing well. If I hadn't gone over my due date I probably wouldn't have had to have one as I haven't had any complications.

I had one at 38 weeks and 39 weeks with my daughter because my blood was pressure was elevated and they found a little bit of protein in my urine.

I think I had one at 31w because they suspected a heart murmur. Otherwise, I don't think I had reason to have one
