How was your dress for the wedding at the courthouse?

At the moment, me and my fiancé are planning what to do. We talked about just going to courthouse, wear something casual...but I want to dress a little bit more fancy (no big gown dress) but look sharp. At the same time we said to marry by the lake (looks more like a beach) so idk what to wear there...we just plan to make a small ceremony with only our families.

This is what I wore to our courthouse wedding! I wouldn't worry too much about being overdressed hun, wear whatever you feel pretty in. That day I saw a ton of girls wearing actual wedding dresses, the fancy ones with veils too 😉

I work in the court house in my county so I see lots of weddings. People come in all kinds of attire, some even come with bridesmaids all matching in fancy dresses. Wear what makes you feel special!

In my state it's not legal to be married by a friend but it was important my friend was the officiant. So we did the legal ceremony at the court and my friend did the ceremony in front of our friends and family. I wore my wedding dress during the family ceremony and the shirt I wore on our first date for the courthouse
