My engagement ring is fake.
I recently got engaged this January. A few days ago I posted a picture of my ring and everyone told me it looked fake. I really never put thought into it until I really looked at the ring. After posting my ring on here and everyone telling me it looked fake, I went ahead and discreetly asked my fiancé if the diamond on it was real and he said "babe, everyone on that ring is real" so I left alone. Today I opened the box that the ring came in and I noticed there was a tag in there. Picture is below. I am so sad that my fiancé lied to me about the ring being fake. Why couldn't he just tell me it wasn't real, the tag says it was $498. I wouldn't had a problem with it. I'm actually not mad that it's fake, I'm more upset that I was lied to and this whole time I thought it was real. I don't know how to bring it up to my fiancé. I don't even know if this is the tag to the ring. When my fiancé gave me the ring he told me it cost a fortune. It cost about the same as buying a new car. He said it was 3 carats. I don't really know what the tag means but I see "14kt" what does that mean? Does this belong to my ring? Here's a picture of my ring again and the tag I found in the box. How do I approach my fiancé about this? Do I say something? How do I say it?
