universe punishing me?

A little rant but also asking for your thoughts and opinions: so since I was was 12 I've always had an idea of what I wanted out of my life (a nice house, a husband, a dog, nieces and nephews to spoil and a job where a travel all over the country) one thing I never wanted was children. Well here I am now 16 years later and I have worked very hard to accomplish all the things I had always wanted and I have the exact life I wanted when I was younger the only problems are I hate traveling for work because I miss my husband and all family activities and we bother really want children of our own. We have been TTC for 9 months now and nothing, I'm starting to wonder if the universe is punishing me for changing what I want in life. Like I have everything I always wanted why am I unhappy. Do you think the universe works this way?
